Water underfloor heating systems  circulate warm water throughout the floor to heat the space and are more efficient than traditional gas central heating if your house is well insulated.  This underfloor heating system will require underfloor piping which connect to your boiler.

If you have solar panels, the pipes can connect to your solar water heating system. Because the heat is more evenly distributed than a single radiator, the system only needs water heated to a lower temperature, so is energy efficient.

As with electric systems, water based heating systems work with any floor type. The main difference between the two underfloor heating systems is in up-front price. An underfloor water heating system is more expensive to fit than an electric one, mainly because more work is involved in installation because of the extensive plumbing work. The price can also be affected by factors, such as whether the room you want heated is on the top floor or near the heating system already.
